Scientific Advice Mechanism High Level Group publishes opinion on CCU
The Group of Chief Scientific Advisors' opinion on Novel Carbon Capture and Utilisation has been published on Wednesday, the 23rd of May 2018.
The group has published several recommendations with respect to future developments, some of which strongly support the PHOENIX initiative's line of thinking, e.g. on the need "To develop a methodology to calculate the Climate Mitigation Potential of CCU" (recommendation No 1). Other recommendations, including the "Eligibility criteria for CCU projects" (recommendation No 2) will be commented on by the PHOENIX Initiative shortly.
The conclusion of the document was also supported by the SAPEA Evidence Review Report No 3.
